Do what you can with what you’ve got

Whatever you are doing, do it well.

No need to wait to do it better.

Waiting for that “better” role, project or task to come along.

Do what you can with what you’ve got.

Do the absolute best you can.

When you do that, something happens.

You will start to get more.

You will be able to do more.

You will be able to do it even better.

So the time to do the best you can is now.

Always now.

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” – Theodore Roosevelt

  1. The quote is actually, “Do what you can, with what you’ve got, where you are.”

And though Theodore Roosevelt wrote those words (published in 1913’s ‘Theodore Roosevelt, An Autobiography’ – chapter 9), he himself is quoting Bill Widener, to whom the quote should actually be attributed.

    Hope that helps. 🙂
