What is holding you back today?

The inner voice.

Your attitude

A lack of motivation

Someone said, “you can’t”.

Your boss.

Limiting beliefs.

Lacklustre commitment.

A feeling of complacency.

A lack of energy.

Fear of failure.

A bad habit.

Boredom.

Your pride.

Insufficient skill.

Lack of knowledge

Negative self talk.

All the above are within your control.

Yes, even your boss (you can always change boss).

Within your control to change … if you wanted to.

“The moment you commit and quit holding back, all sorts of unforeseen incidents, meetings, and material assistance will rise up to help you. The simple act of commitment is a powerful magnet for help.” – Napoleon Hill

Prioritise more by doing less

You’ll want to do it all.

Somehow fit everything in.

Not let anyone down.

You will need to prioritise.

But if everything is a priority, then nothing is.

There will always be more on your “to do” list than can be done.

You will need to do less.

Do less, so you can do more.

Do less, so you can do it well.

With less distraction.

With more focus.

With clarity.

So, are you clear on your priorities?

“If you have more than three priorities, you don’t have any.” – Jim Collins

“The key is not to prioritise what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” – Stephen R. Covey

We know we need to change, but …

We will get to it later.

We have added it to the “to do” list.

We should do that.

We need to do this.

We let things fall through the cracks.

We don’t know how.

We think it is too difficult.

We will eventually get around to it.

We know what needs to be done.

We don’t view it as a priority right now.

We need to get our people up to speed first.

We’re caught up in busy work.

We keep fighting fires.

We never get around to making a plan.

We don’t have the time right now.

How long will it take before knowing becomes doing?

“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.” – Jim Rohn

“It is not because things are difficult we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.” – Seneca

If you’re delivering value … you’ll be invited back

You have delivered.

You have added value.

More than that.

You have over-delivered.

Accomplished more than was required.

Now you get invited back.

You get to do it again.

And then you get to do more.

You are recommended to others.

You are sought out and sought after.

Guess what happens when you don’t deliver?

So, it’s up to you really.

The value you choose to deliver is all up to you.

“Adding value to others is the surest way to add value to our own lives.” – John C. Maxwell

“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.” – Albert Einstein
