What will you leave out?

There are choices to be made when packing.

It is likely you will not be able to fit it all in.

Consider what to leave out.

There are choices to be made when restocking your fridge or pantry.

There are numerous items that could be selected to replenish both.

Be deliberate about what to leave out.

There are choices to be made on how you fill your day.

The world, your world, is busy and there are always things to be done.

Be intentional on what to leave out.

What possibilities will you pack into your life?

Consider, be deliberate and be intentional.

Particularly on what to leave out.

The excitement of day one

Day one of …

… a new habit.

… eating better.

… moving more.

… the dream job.

… being a parent.

… reading a book.

… keeping a journal.

… following a budget.

… creating something.

… a challenging project.

… giving up … whatever.

… learning something new.

… a meaningful relationship.

… building your own business.

… the rest of your incredible life.

Oh, how exciting.

Okay, now for day two.

Make the next plan

Things do not always go to plan.

Be flexible and durable.

Be adaptable and steadfast.

Work through the changes.

Keep sight of the objective.

Focus on what you can control.

Make the next plan.

How to be more curious

Seek out expertise.

Ask questions.

Then ask more questions.

Read a book you otherwise wouldn’t.

Or a chapter.

Or a few pages.

Immerse yourself in something new.

A culture.

A restaurant.

A conversation.

Explore beyond the edges you know.

A different route home.

The suburb or town over.

A new website.

Avoid dismissing what you are unfamiliar with.

Go deeper on cursory knowledge.

Be intrigued by a new idea.

Try something that has always interested you.

Lean into a “yes” to what is usually a “no”.

Encourage and embrace your curiosity.

“Learning is by nature, curiosity.” – Plato

“Curiosity is the engine of achievement.” – Ken Robinson

Thank more … not less

He has worked hard.

She with very little reward.

Often doing what is described as “a thankless job”.

Well …

Find that person.

Find those people.

And “thank” them.

Thank more … not less.
