What’s the problem?

What is the problem we’re trying to solve?

Define that first.

Ask more questions.

Narrow down the issues.

Separate cause from effect.

Rather than jumping to …

… conclusions.

… assumptions.

… solutions.

… the answer.

Or …

… surmising.

… hearing what we want to hear.

… relying on snippets of information.

… trusting rumour and innuendo.

Understand what the problem is first.

Then you’ll be more likely to solve it.
