What have you always wanted to do?

Do it.

Where have you dreamed of going?

Go there.

Start putting a plan together.

 

Do the road trip.

Attend the event.

Take the jump …

… skydive, bungy or high dive.

Start a business.

Write the book.

Learn a language.

Swim with the …

… stingrays, whale shark or turtle.

Run the marathon.

Book the restaurant.

Fly the plane.

Teach.

Change the job.

See a wonder of the world …

… Colosseum, Taj Mahal or Great Wall.

Surprise someone.

Try yoga.

Hike a trail.

See the show.

What will you look back on in twenty years and say …

With the time that is left

What are you going to do with the time that is left?

In the meeting.

This afternoon.

Today.

Before bed.

This week.

On holiday.

This month.

For the project.

This Year.

With your parents.

While travelling.

Over your working career.

With your kids.

With your grandchildren.

With your significant other.

With the rest of your life.

There’s so much time left … and then there’s not.

Happy New You

There is something psychological about a new year.

A sense that things can be different.

A chance to make a fresh start.

Start anew.

But it’s all a bit arbitrary.

There isn’t much difference between the final day of a year and first day of a new year.

Unless you choose there to be something different.

Yes, you get to choose.

You could have started yesterday.

You could begin tomorrow.

Or now.

You can choose to be a better you anytime.

You missed your goal … so now what?

You set a goal … and missed it.

You can beat yourself up.

Feel you messed up.

Be frustrated and disappointed.

Which is all okay.

It means you aren’t satisfied yet.

Which will fuel the setting of the next goal.

Review what happened.

Take the learnings.

Come up with some new strategies.

Be kind to yourself.

And go again.

The To-Do list will wait for you

There will always be more to do.

Always more to put on the To-Do list.

The list that seems to have more added to it that comes off.

You can’t do it all.

Your team can’t do it all.

Your business can’t do it all.

But you can do the next thing.

You can focus.

You can prioritise.

And yes … priorities will change.

To adapt to a changing landscape.

To evolving circumstances.

What was important last week may not be today.

They are your priorities.

You get to decide.

To decide what the next thing is.

Go do that.

The To-Do list will wait for you.

You are here. Was it how you planned it?

How did you get to where you are now?

It may not have been an obvious or clear path to here.

Looking back, it all makes sense.

Back then, it would likely have made no sense.

There might have been a plan.

The plan has been modified.

There might have been a direction.

Though there have been many changes of tack.

There was perhaps a vision.

That appeared differently.

There was a destination.

With side roads and detours.

Where so you want to go next?

The plan may be a straight line.

The journey will likely not be.
